It was the home opener at Byron-Bergen as the Bees battled against the visiting Holley Hawks. Holley took a 12-9 lead after the first quarter, but the second quarter was a different story. BB got their offense going behind seven points from Adam Cardenas, and four each from Noah Clare and Mason Farner. Solid defense from the Bees helped propel BB to a 6 point lead at the break. The Hawks outscored the home team by a slim 14-13 advantage in the third frame. Interesting game fact, the Bees would attempt 18 free throws in the game, all of them coming in the fourth quarter.
